Meet the New Bedford Symphony Youth Orchestras
Symphony Orchestra
The Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra made up of advanced players of all orchestral instruments. The repertoire studied and performed encompasses a wide range of orchestral styles and time periods. Weekly sectional coaching sessions are a part of the regular rehearsal schedule.
Saturdays 9:00 am – 12:00 noon Tuition: $125 per semester
Debut Orchestra
The Debut Orchestra is an early/intermediate ensemble open to players of all orchestral instruments. The focus of this group is the development of ensemble performance skills, as well as preparation for performance at the end of each semester.
Saturdays 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Tuition: $100 per semester
Poco Strings
The Poco Strings is an elementary string ensemble open to beginning string players. The group offers its members an early ensemble experience, leading to a performance at the end of each semester. These students will develop basic ensemble skills that will reinforce what they are learning in their private lessons. Private lessons are required for this group.
